celebrate a journey shared A place where the imagination could save us from sorrow , put us in touch with the wonderment, curiosity and the spontaneity of life.The eternal fountain of youth, allowing for... the joy of play.I personally believe that our beloved animal companions serve as a guide to that magical place.....
It is also the belief of many indigenous cultures that nature is alive and carries with it power and wisdom, and that we have power animals that act as our guides on our journey to assist us in our healing and growth.
For many of us our animal companions serve as a 'safe place' to express our true emotions.....because,have you ever noticed that if there is a stranger out walking their animal companion ,we are more inclined to approach that person, and open up with communication?..................We seem to 'know' and share a common ground ( a place that trancends race, age, class, gender..... and in that shared ( magical ) place there is No fear...or judgements, just a connection to another soul , and what's interesting is that we're led to that shared space.....by our best friend.
To express ourselves openly and honestly is a very difficult thing to do for many of us. So we say nothing at all, or we hide behind emails, and text messages.Does a text message invoke storytelling? A feeling of special?What about touch? Receiving something in hand,? ...Besides,if everything is digital, where ( in our future) will be our keepsakes? Our love letters or our children's kindergarden drawings...saved, stored in dusty attics?Where will we go to reminisce.. to hold onto.....a small memento of our past?
Enter a new (old) age of communication . . .
The whiskerwisdom collection' vision... is to provide a voice ( or doorway ) for the sender to epress empathy, a message from the heart... The pet serves somewhat as an ambassador, an anthromorphic guide providing words and wisdom from nature and the spirit....... and also guiding the recipent to 'that other place of healing' ( that magical place )very much like our inner connection to myths, Aesop's fables, or storytelling, where wisdom, life experiences ( and lessons learned! ) were always shared..... because maybe the right words open pathways between worlds....
Each messagecard is crafted on beautiful tree-free, fair trade, ancient Lokta paper ( visually novel, invoking touch, warmth, something special and soulful.........Lokta paper is handmade in the traditional ancient process in Nepal's cottage industry, thus providing a living wage for the local people (mostly women).
The rhyme and rhythmic messages are composed in 'song' and humbly attempts to resonate like the tide of the ocean, a mother's heartbeat...or a soft lullaby....memorable, thought-provoking and healing
The images (hand-created by extraordinary artists from around the US and the UK)) ...sing in harmony with the message. The images are of authentic situations and pets. Although I’ve personally supported my local shelter for many many years, The Pets of the Homeless foundation is very dear to my heart and a portion of heartspeak's profits are donated to this heartwarming 501c non-profit quarterly.
